the question is whether mini means smaller (just right sized in my opinion) 7 inch tablet, or mini in terms of lower price..
That being said, I still like my iPad, (oversized iTouch, or iTouch w/ 10 inch screen w/ big battery) despite its flaws: size, safari issues.. but a 7- incher w/ retina display is the perfect in-between for the 3.5 inch iPhone. (future iPhone screen may grow to 4.0 inches by going edge to edge, but shouldn't get any bigger than that.)

| 5.3" HD Super AMOLED Galaxy Note |
While it's nice Samsung is coming out with tablets/ smart phones of various sizes, it may not be the most efficient way of going about it.
the new Galaxy note, touting its 5.3 inch display maybe the absolute limit for a smartphone screen size. (yes there was the tab, but common, it was a awkward hybrid. it's not a phone if its a speaker phone only.. and need a hands-free earphones to have private conversations.)
although new HD LTE phones are encroaching by going beyond big 4.5 inch screens. (Nexus Prime and it's cool lookin but not-sure-how-practical curved glass coming in at 4.65 inches..)
anyway, 4 inches, 4.5 inches, 5 inches, 7 inches, 8.9 inches, 10.1 inches.. that's 3 SKUs too many in my opinion.
